Environmental Management Internship

Our Environmental Poland department intends to recruit an Environmental Management Intern.
What you will do:
- Environmental management of wind farms, solar and energy storage projects during development, construction and operation phase, ensuring legislative requirements at each of these stages
- Managing contracting and management of contractors undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), including detailed content checks;
- Active participation in the procedure of obtaining an environmental decision: cooperation with authorities and contractors, public consultation
- Ordering and analysing operational phase of ecological studies (notably avifauna, bats and flora) acoustic and electromagnetic fields studies;
- Supervising construction contractor environmental documentation;
- Coordination environmental documents, public consultation in zoning procedures
- Implement and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS) compliant with the ISO 14001 standard for wind farms and solar projects;
- Collaborate in reviewing country-specific procedures for Environmental, Waste and Complaints Management, and Emergency Response;
- Delivering toolbox talks on environmental procedures and issues to external contractors;
- Collaborate in managing and reviewing the Environment Department budget, especially in development stage of projects and in ecological and acoustic monitoring studies for construction and operating stages;
- Apply for waste and water permits on within wind and solar farms;
- Submit of annual reports on emissions to the atmosphere (KOBIZE and to Marshals) and waste production (BDO)
- Work alongside experienced professionals in an international environment

What we offer: 6 months paid internship with potential for extension
What are we looking for:
- A student of at least 3rd year (Environmental Science and/or Biology/Ecology) or recent graduate
- Availability: 20-30 h/week
- Working knowledge of English (both written and verbal)
- Advanced or native level of Polish language
- Well-rounded MS Office computer skills, ideally proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Basic SAP would be beneficial
- Detail oriented with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong motivation to develop in environmental space
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects
- Committed to deliver excellent performance
