This Platform uses cookies not only to ensure that it works properly, but also to provide you with a better browsing experience, enable continuous improvement of the services provided and protect your data. The cookie files used are placed by SAP (the provider of the SAP SF Platform) through its partners. SAP is fully responsible for the configuration of these cookies, access to and processing of the information collected through these or other similar technologies, according to the information provided in SAP's Cookies Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small information files placed by the websites you visit that are stored in the browser of the device you use to access the Internet (for example, your computer or mobile phone). These files help the website remember information about your visit and make your next visit easier: maintaining the actions and preferences of Users for a certain period of time, maintaining or recognizing your username, the language in which you prefer to browse the site or other settings.

Cookies can be classified taking into account various criteria.

Considering their purpose, cookies can be:

(a) Strictly necessary cookies – These cookies are necessary to ensure the functioning of the website and/or to ensure the availability of features that are requested by the user, or to save your preferences regarding navigation on the website, whenever you use the same device and so request.

(b) Personalization cookies – These cookies are non-essential (not necessary for the operation of the website, but may improve its performance) and are used to personalize the user's browsing experience. Some of these cookies may transfer data outside the European Economic Area ("EEA").

(c) Analytical cookies – These cookies are non-essential and collect statistical information in order to help website owners analyze their use and better understand their visitors' engagement with the websites. Another function for which these cookies can be used, in conjunction with some advertising cookies, is to allow us to measure the interactions with the ads we display. Some of these cookies may transfer data outside the EEA.

(d) Advertising cookies – These cookies are non-essential and aim to make advertising more attractive to users and advertisers by selecting advertising on the basis of what is relevant to the user, in order to improve reporting on campaign performance and avoid showing advertisements that the user has already seen or marked as not being relevant. Some of these cookies may transfer data outside the EEA.

(e) Session cookies - these cookies are temporary and are deleted from the cookie file upon or shortly after closure of the browser or application used to access the Platform. Through this type of cookie it is possible, for example, to analyze web traffic patterns, allowing us to identify problems, safeguard security and provide a better browsing experience.

(f) Permanent cookies - unlike session cookies, these are not deleted upon closure of the browser or application, and remain stored on the User's devices. They are used whenever a new visit to the website is made, allowing us, for example, to personalize the browsing experience according to the interests of the User and to provide a more individualized service.

Considering the entity that places the cookies, they may be classified as follows:

(a) First-party cookies – are sent to the User's device through equipment or domains managed by EDP and from which the service requested by the User is provided.

(b) Third-party cookies – are sent to the User's device from a device or domain managed by a third party over which EDP has no control. In such cases, the third party may process the data collected through cookies and EDP may not have the ability to configure their operation.

Should I accept the use of cookies?

In the case of strictly necessary cookies, the website cannot function without them. As for the other types of cookies, the user makes the choice. Under the current legislation, the Platform may only use cookies with the prior express consent of the user, unless the placement of certain cookies is strictly necessary to provide the service that they have expressly requested or to provide access to a certain functionality of the Platform (e.g. to allow you access to a certain page/functionality, such as the Reserved Area).

How can I manage my cookies preferences?

Most browsers allow you to control the cookies stored on your device, and also immediately delete them if you wish to stop allowing the local storage of cookies. You can change your browser settings to block the installation of cookies or to notify you each time a cookie is defined:

To withdraw your consent and find out what data has been collected through the AddThis widget (across multiple platforms), click Here.

Please be aware that disabling cookies through your browser settings may have an impact on the operation of the Platform, since the settings panel of most modern browsers does not offer a level of detail that allows users to reject all those cookies that are not strictly necessary to allow the use of the websites. On devices that offer this type of functionality, you can have greater control over your cookies using free extensions available online.

Google Analytics

You can also prevent the collection of information through Google Analytics cookies (provided by Google), on any website, by installing in your browser a tool available here.

This tool was developed specifically for Google Analytics and prevents the mechanism that allows the collection of data concerning the way you navigate and use our website from sharing information with Google Ireland Limited and other Google entities based in the United States of America (according to information provided by Google).

Changes to the Cookies Policy

EDP may at any time, without prior notice and with immediate effect, partially or fully amend, supplement or revoke this Cookies Policy. Any changes relevant to the user will be immediately disclosed on the Platform. The user may access the information and, depending on the type of cookie concerned, consent to its use.
