PM is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of solar energy projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The PM works closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to achieve project goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement EPC contracts for Solar PV projects from construction through to handover

  • Report on progress to project director and senior management

  • Ensure planning, environmental and safety compliance

  • Lead supply / sub-contract negotiation, contract preparation, execution and management

  • Implement, improve and maintain project management guidelines, processes, tools and procedures to ensure a structured project execution

  • Minimize project risk and maximize performance

  • Responsible for achieving contractual milestones

  • Oversee and manage the various general conditions services required for EPC projects.

  • Review, negotiate and document commercial aspects of form of subcontract agreements, consulting agreements, and other agreements as assigned and document modifications as well as internal approvals

  • Report the contract status and schedule with project teams and management on a weekly basis

  • Advise on any deviations from standard Terms and Conditions to Project Director and Senior Management

  • Lead and conduct value-added engineering studies of alternative design approaches

  • Maintain well documented files to accurately present a clear trail with regards to contract templates, approvals, executed contracts, and pending contracts.

  • Trace and report monthly contracts completion metrics and status of pending contracts

  • Must effectively communicate with senior executives both internally and externally

  • Assist in obtaining necessary permitting and licensing required to reach construction and completion phase for project.

  • Manage all aspects of project administration and coordination which may involve overseeing the administration of project contracts, schedules and budgets, establishing and monitoring financial parameters of projects to ensure delivery within budget and time.

  • Determine project management, technical services and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis (e.g. additional services).

  • Manage owner’s engineers and contractors to achieve targets, undertaking site reviews and inspections, providing instructions to rectify identified issues and liaising with external clients to ensure all queries and issues are appropriately addressed in a prompt manner.

  • Collaboratively work with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of the project in line with all stakeholder's expectations communicating strategies to the team.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in renewable energy projects, preferably solar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Solid understanding of solar energy systems, technologies, and industry standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to solar projects.

  • Good English communication skills
