Senior Associate, Investment and M&A

What you will do:
In this role, you will analyze and execute worldwide strategic investments and divestments (M&A, partnerships, greenfield) and be directly responsible for the deal execution process in allocated geographies and deals. This includes valuation, offer preparation, due diligence coordination, deal negotiation, and internal approvals. You will support the full investment cycle, including deal sourcing, transaction execution, management, and divestment. Additionally, you will contribute to and facilitate investment-related communications and decision-making within the organization and act as a key liaison between the APAC regional headquarters in Singapore and EDP/EDPR headquarters in Portugal and Spain.
- Support the end-to-end investment process, including opportunity screening, due diligence coordination, financial modelling, structuring, and deal execution.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal Investment Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Participate in commercial, financial, legal, and technical due diligence, working with internal teams and external advisors.
- Conduct market and strategic research to support sourcing initiatives and identify investment opportunities across the renewable energy landscape.
- Collaborate across functions including legal, operations, tax, and technical teams during execution and post-investment value creation phases.
- Monitor the performance of portfolio assets, support value creation initiatives, and contribute to ongoing asset management and reporting.
- Lead specific workstreams independently and oversee the output of analysts and interns.
- Assist with internal project tracking, and business development initiatives.

What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. A postgraduate degree (MBA/Master’s) or CFA qualification is advantageous.
- [3-8] years of relevant experience in investment banking, principal investing, private equity, infrastructure funds, or corporate M&A.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise (e.g., DCF, precedent transactions, scenario analysis).
- Experience in transaction due diligence and execution, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or energy sectors.
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data rooms, and financial analysis tools is a plus.
