This role will lead engagement efforts across internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the company’s projects. Internally, this role will drive effective communication strategies to enhance collaboration across teams. Externally, the role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholder such as the media, community representatives and government officials to facilitate project success – particularly in Japan.
Responsibilities:
Internal Stakeholder Management:
• Support leadership in delivering key messages to employees and internal stakeholders
• Develop internal communication strategies and implement tactics to enhance alignment and collaboration, including key company events
• Foster engagement across teams to ensure transparency and effective information flow
External Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community representatives, government officials, and relevant organizations
• Ensure proactive engagement with stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and smooth execution
• When required, represent the company in discussions with external partners to align interests and address concerns
Strategic Stakeholder Planning:
• Develop stakeholder management plans with market heads tailored to project needs and objectives
• Work with project teams to identify key stakeholders and assess their interests, influence, and concerns
Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure stakeholder engagement aligns with regulatory and company requirements
• Work with global stakeholders team to track and report on stakeholder interactions, feedback, and impact
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on stakeholder input
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in stakeholder management, internal communications, public affairs, or a related field
• Experience working on infrastructure, energy, or large-scale development projects is an advantage; public affairs agency experience is an advantage
• Familiarity with regulatory processes and government relations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (bilingual English and Japanese important)
• Creative content creation skills (Adobe Illustrator and Canva)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
