Role Summary:

 

The Client Solutions Origination team develops and structures renewable energy solutions for corporate and utility-scale customers across APAC, with a focus on Distributed Generation and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The team works closely with business development, legal, finance, engineering, asset management, and GEM to originate, assess, structure, and progress commercial opportunities.

This internship provides exposure to renewable energy origination, PPA structuring, market analysis, commercial modelling, customer proposal development, and cross-functional deal coordination.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Origination & Commercial Support

  • Support market, customer, and competitor research to identify renewable energy and PPA opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing customer presentations, proposals, internal briefing materials, and deal summaries.
  • Support tracking of origination opportunities, customer engagement, and commercial pipeline updates.
  • Conduct research on customer energy demand, decarbonisation commitments, and renewable energy procurement trends.

 

2. PPA Structuring & Market Analysis

 

  • Support commercial analysis for PPA opportunities, including tariff assumptions, contract tenor, generation profiles, and customer value proposition.
  • Assist in benchmarking PPA pricing, renewable energy market trends, and commercial structures across APAC markets.
  • Support sensitivity analysis on key assumptions such as energy prices, generation volumes, inflation, foreign exchange, and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal reviews and approval processes.

 

3. Cross-Functional Deal Coordination

 

  • Support coordination with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Asset Management, GEM, and Business Development teams on live opportunities.
  • Assist in tracking deal milestones, outstanding actions, approvals, and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare meeting notes, action trackers, and follow-up items for deal discussions.

 

4. Data, Reporting & Energy Management Related Support

 

  • Maintain pipeline trackers, customer databases, market intelligence repositories, and reporting templates.
  • Support selected Energy Management related analysis where relevant, including market price trends, PPA assumptions, captured price analysis, and portfolio revenue considerations.
  • Assist in improving templates, dashboards, and reporting tools to support commercial decision-making.

 

Requirements

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to work with commercial and market data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; financial modelling experience is an advantage.
  • Interest in renewable energy, corporate decarbonisation, power markets, and commercial deal structuring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working across teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to organise information clearly.
  • Proactive, commercially curious, and able to translate research and data into clear business insights.
