Role summary
This position is responsible for the sourcing, procurement of materials, services and EPC contract across Asia Pacific (except Singapore), the individual will be responsible for establishing and improving processes and shaping procurement operations in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for key components e.g., solar panel, inverters, BESS, cables etc purchasing to meet business requirement.
- Support E&C team with the key component’s quality issues
- Sourcing and purchasing for other material and services request across Asia Pacific
- Expedite and take appropriate action to ensure deliveries arrive on time and safely in the proper quality
- Lead EPC and O&M contract negotiation with key suppliers on pricing and other terms
- Support logistic coordinator for the shipment from China to Asia Pacific other countries
- Updates procurement and payment forecast to treasury for advance planning
- Works closely with finance for payment processing of required down payment / advance payment upon confirmation of order
- Improve the efficiency of supply chain tools usage (APPIAN, SAP etc), optimize the cooperation across functions
- Support HOD to monitor EDPR procurement process implement in Asia Pacific
- Support HOD to collect supply chain related data/record across Asia Pacific for future improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering and/or Business
- 10 years’ experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain Management
- Demonstrate ability to work independently without significant supervision & complete task with honesty & integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Process oriented
- Takes initiatives to drive changes
- Excellent written, verbal communication in English
- The job will require extensive travelling across APAC
