The Remote Operations (Dispatch Centers) Projects Lead Engineer / Specialist will act as an internal operational consultant, being the main support entity for the Remote Operations (Dispatch Centers) Director. The RODC Projects Lead Engineer / Specialist is responsible for generating and following-up the team performance and other transversal Department reports, conducting deep dive analysis and driving improvement actions and tools to support RODC area leaders, acting also as PMO manager for transversal strategic transformational projects.

 

RODC, as a team, contributes, in a tangible way, to increase RGA's long-term profit earning capacity by conducting real-time remote control and operation of power plants and providing advanced real-time control systems, operational data and reporting while guaranteeing regulatory compliance and best practices.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Remote Operations (Dispatch Centers) Reporting:
    • Development of tools to allow the generation and follow-up of performance, KPIs and SLAs reports for all RODC areas: Remote Operations, Operational Technology and Operational Data Office & Reporting.
    • Analysis of deviations against targets and conduction of deep-dive analysis to support the identification of improvement opportunities in coordination with the corresponding RODC areas' leaders and the Director.
    • Coordinate, follow-up and support implementation of identified improvement opportunities and align between the involved areas.
    • Establishment of links with the different teams both internally within RODC and with the rest of the organization, when required, to allow the full RODC reporting objective.
    • Manages coordination with the different RODC team leaders to provide periodic forecasts and targets both for operating and financial performance.
    • Ensures accuracy of the reporting and assists in correcting any inaccuracies in the business data.
    • Identification and validation of new data sources for additional reporting needs.
  • Project Management:
    • Ensure the creation and success of strategic programs and/or projects for the organization through effective and efficient management of scope, time, cost and quality.
    • Develop program plans (execution, communication, risks, etc.) aligned with RODC Director and rest of Dispatch areas' leaders.
    • Continuous update of the status of the programs and projects according to the procedures and tools in force.
    • Ensure that the financial execution of the project complies with the operational execution.
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders for specific and corporate projects.
    • Ensure the formal closure of the programs or projects and its successful celebration involving all the required staff.
    • Assist in the elaboration and development of business plan and in the implementation and monitoring of the strategy for RODC.
  • Process Documentation Management and other tools:
    • Ensures the up-to-date availability of RODC processes and reporting documentation.
    • Collaboration with other teams in the usage of the applicable corporate tools and the adherence to best practices.
  • Prepares and delivers key business meetings, sharing periodical reports and presentations to allow easy tracking, monitoring and control of RODC activities, with clear meeting outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Act as RODC Social Media Manager being the responsible for the creation and leading of the area's social media strategical content aligned with RGA's global social media strategy.
  • Continuous improvement of operational processes, analytical methods and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy of RODC processes and information management.
  • Proposal of climate improvement related initiatives and involvement in its execution.

What are we looking for:

  • University degree related with Engineering or Administration.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish or Portuguese fluently. Additional languages to be valued.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Consulting and/or Project Management with specific knowledge:
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
    • PowerBI and phyton (desirable).
