Legal Associate

What you will do:
The Legal Specialist delivers focused legal support by providing legal counsel, drafting and reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role supports the EDP Group’s legal function by managing day-to-day legal issues and facilitating efficient legal operations.
- Provide legal advice on routine and specialized matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in managing litigation and regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal risks and operational needs.
- Keep abreast of relevant legal developments impacting the business.

What are we looking for:
- Law degree with relevant professional experience (typically 3-5 years)
- Good knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Expertise in energy regulatory topics and in public law aspects related to development of renewable energy projects according to French regulation
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
