PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

What you will do
Role Overview:
The Project Development Analyst will support development activities of solar and storage projects under 20 MWac at all stages of project maturity across the United States. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting members of the team with all manner of project or portfolio-level development tasks including maintenance of project schedules, ensuring the smooth flow of information among internal and external cross-functional teams (business development, engineering, legal), development risk analysis, and budget tracking.
Main responsibilities:
- Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking efforts to develop/construct projects and for coordinating internal resources and priorities
- Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts for project schedules and budgets
- Assist with development efforts such as land agreement processing, permit preparation, and the coordinating the activities of third-party consultants
- Evaluate permitting risks based on available desktop tools (GIS, etc.) and reports generated by third-party consultants

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in solar development highly preferred. Experience in other energy sectors and/or real estate or land development will also be considered.
- 0 – 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry.
- Competency with project management related products/software a plus.
- Ability to decipher, summarize and communicate key findings of technical reports.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Competency in analytical problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise (preferred)

- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary

Salary hiring range: $75,000 - $85,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of many compensation, benefits, and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect most of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
