What you will do

EDPR NA DG (EDPR) is seeking a Senior Associate to support its community solar initiatives with a focused mandate on community solar subscription management and program compliance across the distributed generation portfolio in North America. 

 

 

Role Overview:

This role will concentrate on managing third-party community solar subscription providers, ensuring program compliance and incentive optimization, and working cross-functionally with Business Development, Policy, and Asset Management teams to interpret evolving regulatory frameworks and identify both risks and opportunities within community solar and Front-of-the-Meter (FTM) markets. 

The position offers an opportunity to apply financial, regulatory, and operational expertise to support value creation for EDPR, with an emphasis on portfolio performance, compliance execution, and program strategy. This position will be on a hybrid remote work schedule, working three days in the New York office and two days from home. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for community solar subscription strategy and execution to support portfolio performance, including subscriber acquisition, retention, and reporting; 
  • Point of contact for third-party community solar subscription providers, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and ongoing relationship management across operating and development-stage assets; 
  • Ensure compliance with community solar program requirements and incentive structures across multiple jurisdictions, including preparation and management of required documentation; 
  • Track and manage state and utility-level incentive programs, ensuring accurate reporting, audit readiness, and alignment with program rules and timelines; 
  • Partner closely with Policy and Business Development teams to interpret regulatory and program changes and assess impacts to existing assets and pipeline projects; 
  • Maintain and update internal systems and databases related to subscriptions, incentives, and compliance tracking; 
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on program execution and reporting requirements; 
  • Assist in due diligence and evaluation of community solar program structures for new markets or projects; 
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization across workflows. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for

  • Experience with community solar subscription management or compliance; 
  • Familiarity with community solar policies and regulatory frameworks; 
  • Strong Excel skills; 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with energy markets (general familiarity with the electricity industry and with the basics of power generation projects is helpful); 
  • Optional: 2+ years of project development experience 
  • Undergraduate degree; while there is no formal major/degree requirement, a quantitative or economics/financial background (either with a declared major or concentration) is strongly preferred

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment 
  •  Walking: Ability to walk .5 to 2 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on project sites. 
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form 
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds 
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form

Salary hiring range: 97,440-121,800 
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of many compensation, benefits, and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect most of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
