The job location should be based in northern Germany as the projects will be there. 

 

MISSION

Taking a lead in the necessary actions in the promotion of future wind plants, in accordance with the company guidelines, to build, develop, boost and support the portfolio of the wind activity to the successful fulfillment of the business plan.

You will autonomously manage the business from the identification of opportunities to contracting with the owners and the support of the communities involved while liaising with internal EDP departments and resources.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Explore new and relevant sites through targeted personal research or through results made available by the GIS Team, with public and private actors
2.    Develop and animate a network of land scouts and originators in Germany
3.    Qualify projects with a view to integrating them into the EDP development process
4.    Secure land through the negotiation and signing of promises of lease
5.    Represent the company with local public or private actors, state services and communities in order to introduce EDP and make projects socially viable
6.    Initiate the launch of the procedures to apply for the environmental permitting process to include licensed planning offices and expand internal resources based on future requirements and forecasting

 

REQUIRED PROFILE

 

1.    ACADEMIC LEVEL

•    School of Management or University Degree
•    Apprenticeship in the specific sector with a Degree from the Chamber of Commerce
•    Additional academic credecials are a benefit but not mandatory


2.    REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

•    At least 8-12 years of experience in the renewable energy sector with specific focus on wind development in the DACH region
•    Origination skills and open-minded mentality to communicate across cultural barriers
•    2 to 3 years of experience in Wind development, or similar requiring project management with communities and handling of the German environmental permitting process
•    Greenfield development experience combined with technical know-how in the wind sector
•    Hands-on approach, problem solving skills and interested in renewable energy in general
•    Well acquainted with the German regulatory system and its bureaucratic hurdles
•    Able to communicate well with land-owners as well as C-level executives
•    Willing to handle multiple projects within a certain timeframe
•    Creating future opportunities within the parameters as introduced by EDP


3.    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

•    BImSch Regulations, EEG, KraftNAV, BESS would be a benefit
•    IT: All MS Applications, certain specific project management tools


4.    LOCATION

•    Based in northern Germany
•    EDP is planning an Office Hub to enable a combination of home office and EDP office


5.    LANGUAGES

•    German and English
•    Additional languages (Spanish) are a benefit but not mandatory

 

6.    SKILLS / COMPETENCES

•    A2 Driving license
•    Availability for travelling through national territory
•    Present EDP at fairs and conferences
•    Teamplayer but able to work on its own
