Country/Region:  Ge
City:  Munich
Business Platform:  Client Solutions

We are EDP, a global energy company present in around 29 markets with a particular emphasis on renewable energies. With more than 45 years of experience, we have been consolidating a relevant presence on the world energy scene based on the commitment to be all-green by 2030, leading the energy transition. With more than 13,000 employees around the world, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow.

What you will do:

Lead strategic commercial initiatives with multinational companies, expanding EDP's local market presence and commercial footprint in Germany through the origination and development of renewable energy opportunities that align with the Group's priorities and reinforce our position as a key partner in the global energy transition.

  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships with German multinationals, positioning EDP as a trusted long-term partner in their energy transition — and coordinating alongside EDP's teams across countries so each client gets one joined-up relationship.
  • Proactively identify, originate and qualify new business opportunities, building and developing a pipeline of commercial and industrial customers in the German market.
  • Build and deliver compelling C-level propositions that support strategic, energy-transition decisions
  • Shape how EDP targets and positions its solutions across the German market, prioritizing opportunities based on client needs, value creation, and priorities.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, incentive schemes and grid-related opportunities in Germany, translating market insights into actionable commercial opportunities and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with technical and delivery teams to translate client ambitions into viable solutions (e.g. Behind the meter solutions of Solar PV, BESS, PPAs on site…), anticipating the commercial risks and bottlenecks along the way.
  • Support the Client Solutions Management team on key growth and profitability decisions, from strategy through to execution, including business case development, pricing analysis and investment approval processes for new opportunities

Employment type: Full Time

Work model: Hybrid

Location: can be flexible, but München/Leipzig are preferred options

What are we looking for

  • Degree or Master's in Business & Management, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in strategically relevant, commercial roles involving complex C-level stakeholder management — for example energy consulting, energy procurement, business development, corporate sustainability, or strategy & transformation in large organizations.
  • Strong commercial instinct and executive presence: you're comfortable engaging, presenting to, and handling objections from C-suite audiences.
  • A curious, entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in dynamic, matrixed environments and enjoys coordinating across geographies and teams.
  • Fluency in English and German.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience delivering energy solutions for C&I clients in Germany, including Solar PV, BESS, PPAs on site or other energy solutions.
  • Familiarity with the German regulatory environment — grid operators, permitting, and securing public subsidies, incentive schemes and market dynamics affecting distributed energy solutions.

More than academic knowledge and technical skills, we are looking for ambitious people who are enthusiastic about the future and who bring human skills aligned with our purpose.
