GENERAL DESCRIPTION Coordinate and collaborate actively in the development of engineering designs in the different phases: pre-design, basic engineering design, executive project and support Due Diligences Processes of the Wind and PV Plants at country level in coordination with corporate teams assuring the most optimized designs and the inclusion of all technical specifications in their most upgrade version to guarantee technical suitability and technical and economic efficiency. Create and implement best practices engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT:

• Guide the Engineering team members in the RfP process, evaluation and selection of the external suppliers (engineering companies) to carry out the concept design, Basic or Building projects as well as the needed field studies or external projects assessment.

• Coordinate the Engineering Local Team.

• Ensure the application of the standards, general specifications and quality criteria of EDPR in the realization of projects and designs of renewable power plants and electrical infrastructure.

• Define the systems for tracking the relevant information from the projects and reporting to the rest of the organization.

• Collaborate and give technical support to Development in matters related to the connection to the electricity network.

• Coordinate and supervise the realization of the budgets of material execution of the projects, and the control of such costs along the projects execution.

• Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects; supervise the technical adequacy of them, ensuring the compliance with EDPR standard and other specific project restraining in close coordination with Corporate Areas

• Capex Estimation and supervision

• Lead the transfer of projects to the Construction Team, in order to optimize the start of construction on-time, guaranteeing the coordination and technical quality in the transfer of the project.

PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

• Establish relationships with the main suppliers and providers for the whole value chain in order to include the most efficient technical and economical options to the engineering designs for each site.

• Assist technically the Purchasing Department in the bidding of the execution of the different projects of the renewable plant, as well as coordinate the team to perform the technical evaluation and tabulation of the received bids in order to ensure the selection of the best final engineering project from the technical point of view.

COMMON STANDARDS

• Lead the application of the common standards in the studies and projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, to avoid non-justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed.

• Challenge Technical Standards applicability and verify and justify deviations from them, in order to assure the technical solvency and the technical-economic efficiency of the projects.

STUDIES COORDINATION Supervise the execution of specific key studies (collector system, reactive power compensation, foundation design, noises, or others) for its integration in the engineering project, to minimize the risk associated to the construction process. SUPPORT TO M&A PROCESS Collaborate with Investment&Transations Corporate Engineering and Construction Area to perform Technical Due Diligences to acquire projects in different levels of Development performing CapEx estimations, risk analysis, technical reports

TEAM MANAGEMENT: Exercise the direction of the people in charge, set the objectives and responsibilities, applying measurement indicators and evaluation of established results, stimulate and motivate people in order to reach the commitment of their work team, with the culture and values of the organization, as well as its development and that of its department as a whole.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

- Master Degree in Engineering

- Languages: Italian and fluent English. Spanish is a plus.

- 10 years’ experience in renewable projects management and engineering

- 5 years’ experience leading teams

- Experience with TERNA
