What you will do:
This position is integrated into the Renewable Generation Assets platform, within the Solar, BESS, HV and Electrical organizational unit, which comprises a team of 14 people.
The position will report directly to the Central Maintenance Associate Director.
The main goal of this position is to provide specialized electrical engineering support to operating renewable generation assets, focused on high voltage and low voltage electrical systems of substations, power lines, wind turbines and PV Solar sites.
The role includes supporting the definition, coordination and supervision of maintenance and inspection activities, major corrective actions, retrofits and repairs of electrical components, both on-site and in workshops, ensuring compliance with established procedures, safety standards, quality requirements and company policies.
The Electrical HV Specialist contributes to the analysis and resolution of electrical incidents, applying defined methodologies and technical criteria, and escalating complex or non-standard cases to the Expert level when required. The position works in close collaboration with O&M teams, service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable asset operation and continuous improvement of maintenance practices.
General responsibilities:
- WORKING PROCEDURES AND INSTRUCTIONS
• Support the definition and update of programs and procedures for operation and maintenance activities, tests and inspections of HV/LV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with established standards, safety requirements and quality guidelines.
• Apply corporate procedures consistently across assets and technologies.
- FAILURE ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
• Analyse electrical failures and incidents, considering health & safety, operational and economic impacts.
• Apply defined root cause analysis methodologies and corrective actions, escalating complex, recurrent or high-impact cases to the Expert level.
• Support the implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
- TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR MAJOR CORRECTIVES
• Provide technical support to O&M site teams during major corrective actions in operating facilities.
• Analyse technical and economic aspects of corrective interventions under established criteria, contributing to improved maintenance performance.
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR MAJOR COMPONENTS
• Support the assessment of major electrical components, including compatibility analysis, inspection results and repair proposals.
• Review repair reports and contribute to the evaluation of repair quality in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- TAKEOVER OF NEW FACILITIES AND END OF WARRANTY PROCESSES
• Support O&M Business Units during commissioning inspections and end-of-warranty assessments.
• Contribute to the identification of technical issues and corrective actions to ensure assets are transferred into stable operating conditions.
- EXTERNAL SERVICES SUPPORT
• Support the definition of technical specifications for external engineering and maintenance services.
• Participate in the supervision of outsourced works, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and contractual requirements.
- SYSTEMS, TOOLS AND REPORTING
• Manage daily activities using corporate systems and tools.
• Ensure accurate technical documentation, reporting and data quality.
- COMPANY POLICY AND COMPLIANCE
• Apply occupational health and safety, environmental and quality policies in all assigned activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.

What are we looking for:
- Academic Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering roles related to operation, maintenance or commissioning of power electrical equipment.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of wind turbines.
- Hands-on experience supporting major corrective actions and electrical interventions in operating assets.
- Exposure to international or multi-site projects is considered an advantage
- Specific Knowledge:
- Mandatory:
- European B-class driving license
- Proficiency with MS-Office, SAP and databases development and management.
- HV and LV electrical systems of wind turbines.
- Troubleshooting of electrical and electronic failures in renewable generation assets.
- Application of electrical safety rules and procedures in operational environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, protection diagrams and technical documentation.
- Relevant:
- Electrical systems of substations, power lines and photovoltaic plants.
- Electrical protection settings and basic coordination principles.
- Grid codes and grid compliance requirements.
- Substation control systems and basic control engineering practices.
- Network architectures and electrical subsystems adaptation.
- Languages:
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently (B2).
- Portuguese, French or Italian are added values.
- Skills:
- Willingness and ability to international travel as needed (approx. 30% of business time).
- Ability and willingness to provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously within defined technical frameworks.
- Good communication skills to interact with O&M teams and external service providers.
- Ability to perform physical requirements at project locations in order to inspect equipment or collect information.
- Ability to work around energized equipment.
