Senior AI and GenAI Architect

The DGU Global DGU Data & AI Strat, Gov & Tech CoE is looking to recruit a Senior AI and GenAI Architect.
What you will do:
- Lead GenAI initiatives, ensuring the technical development of innovative solutions based on Large Language Models (LLMs), advanced RAG techniques, and multi-agent architectures.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and integrated AI and GenAI architectures, connecting with diverse systems and data sources.
- Collaborate with Data, AI, and Engineering teams to integrate generative models into enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Define development standards, best practices, and technical guidelines for AI and GenAI projects.
- Manage and mentor technical teams in developing GenAI use cases with a strong focus on business value.
- Explore emerging technologies and trends within the GenAI ecosystem, anticipating strategic opportunities and relevant innovations.
- Ensure the efficient integration of GenAI models and services in the cloud (preferably Azure), leveraging CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Foster innovation and creativity in solution design, combining strategic vision with strong technical execution capabilities.
- Support the design of frontend and backend solutions that enhance user interaction with generative models and overall user experience.
- Ensure thorough technical documentation and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and business stakeholders.

What are we looking for:
- Degree, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering or related field.
- 6–10 years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, or technology solution architecture, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in GenAI and LLMs, including the design and implementation of solutions based on generative models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent architectures.
- Proven experience in cloud system architecture (preferably Azure, though AWS or GCP are also valued), including API integration, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices orchestration.
- Track record of technical leadership or mentoring development teams in AI/GenAI projects, ensuring best practices and delivery of tangible business value.
- Experience integrating AI models into products or applications (frontend/backend), working collaboratively with Data Science and MLOps teams.
- Strong knowledge of development frameworks and languages, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and C#, as well as vector databases.
- Experience in technology innovation projects, with the ability to anticipate trends and propose new approaches in AI/GenAI.
- Experience defining AI/GenAI architecture strategies and standards at an organizational level is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
