R&D Project Engineer - European Programs

CNET (Centre for New Energy Technologies), the EDP Group’s Research & Development (R&D) center, is reinforcing its Client Solutions R&D team through the recruitment of a R&D Project Engineer - European Programs.

What you will do:

• Support to the management of R&D projects within European funding programmes (Horizon Europe / H2020).
• Execution of research activities in the Client Solutions R&D domain, including technical analysis, concept development, and evaluation of innovative solutions.
• Contribution to the drafting, design, and preparation of proposals for European calls.
• Support to cross-functional team activities, including documentation preparation, reporting, partner coordination, and/or dissemination activities.

What are we looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy area, etc.
• Previous experience with projects funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe / H2020) is highly valued.
• Knowledge (professional or academic) in the focus areas of EDP R&D Client Solutions is also considered an asset, namely:
• Industrial heat electrification;
• Autonomous and AI-based solutions for Distributed Energy Resources (DER);
• Advanced Energy Management Systems (Advanced EMS) for B2B;
• Emerging decentralized renewable technologies;
• Technologies for the integration of energy communities.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory (minimum B2 level).
