Platform Tech./Expert Lead

The DGU Digital GEM is looking to recruit a Platform Tech./Expert Lead.

What you will do:

The Platform Tech./Expert Lead will be responsible for strengthening the focus on the technical management of the energy trading applications. This role contributes to the product development, providing support to the DevTeam with technical quality assurance. This is a crucial role in the path to a DevOps team in cloud-first approach.

• Lead the technical team in the management and evolution of energy trading applications.
• Ensure the technical quality of deliverables by implementing best development and testing practices.
• Ensure that the application is designed and implemented taking into account the performance and SLAs required by business.
• Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring the implementation of scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to align technical requirements with business needs.
• Create the conditions to have the application in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automated mode.
• Stay updated with market trends and technological innovations, applying them strategically to improve platform performance and reliability.
• Ensure the implementation of cloud solutions while maintaining a global view of architecture and infrastructure.
• Identify and maintain a clear backlog of the technical debt to help the Product Owner prioritize and decrease the overall product technical debt.
• Ensure that the application and the team follow the Security, Development, Architecture and Business Continuity guidelines and rules, includes security vulnerability resolution.
  Align with the Platform Expert and Solution Architect to implement the guidelines and frameworks defined by EDP.
• Manage its application infra-structure cost and consumption.

What are we looking for:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical roles focused on application development and platform management.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, process automation, and continuous integration (CI/CD).
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or others used in trading applications.
• Proven ability in technical leadership and providing guidance to development teams.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence tools (valued).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to solve complex problems and make strategic decisions;
• Proactive, autonomy, strong sense of responsibility and resilience.
