Within EDP Inovação, the Networks domain focuses on identifying innovative technologies and high‑potential business opportunities in Distribution and Transmission Grids, supporting EDP in anticipating disruptive shifts and leading the energy transition.We are looking to enlarge our team Innovation in Networks to strengthen this mission.

Innovation Networks department is looking for an Innovation Associate

What you will do:

• Monitor technology developments and anticipate market trends that may significantly impact EDP's position in Power Networks.
• Conduct in‑depth technical analyses on emerging technologies affecting Distribution and Transmission grids.
• Propose new business concepts to be developed and tested as potential internal ventures.
• Structure business models and assess the commercial attractiveness of emerging technologies.
• Evaluate technology feasibility and market readiness of potential investment targets.
• Perform technical due diligence for relevant startup and technology companies.
• Support EDP's Startup Engagement Programs.
• Execute innovation projects in collaboration with other areas within EDP Inovação.

What are we looking for:

• Degree, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Energy & Environmental Engineering or Mathematics, Physics,
• Strong understanding of technology development processes.
• Solid analytical skills with strategic and business‑oriented thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to deliver rigorous, balanced results on time, while managing multiple themes/projects with agility.
• Strong team spirit, openness, and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders across diverse topics.
• Excellent soft skills: creativity, communication, curiosity, collaboration and proactivity.
• Fluency in English..
