Financial Accountant (English Fluent)

The Gen. Account Networks & Client Solutions team within EDP GBS is looking to strengthen its team by hiring an Financial Accountant fluent in English.

What you will do:

Duties assigned at this level aim to support the work related to the General Accounting process of the Global Business Service, particularly the accounting process of Client Solutions (solar energy) companies in Poland. The function is performed from Portugal (Lisbon) with a report to a manager in Spain and collaboration with colleagues in Poland and Portugal.

• Keeping accounting records in the SAP system (invoices/purchases, fixed assets, sales, accruals and deferrals).
• Accounts reconciliation.
• Monthly analysis of trial balances.
• Accounting, monitoring and control of financial investments.
• Provision of accounting information to support tax assessments.
• Preparation and analysis of the annual accounts/financial statements of companies.
• Control of the balances and transactions between the Group's companies,
• Preparation of information for internal control and audits.
• Participate in projects and collaborate with the various areas of the organization as needed.
• Provide solution to standardize, automate, improve and simply processes/procedures.

What are we looking for:

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in accounting functions.
• Highly valued knowledge of IFRS Standards.
• Mastery of Office tools.
• Mastery of the English language.
• Highly valued knowledge of Polish language (written and spoken).
• Highly valued knowledge of Polish GAAP / Accounting standards.
• Highly valued practical knowledge of the SAP system (FI, AA, MM, SD modules).
• Knowledge of Power Query or other automation tools is also valued.
