The General Account & Financial Master Data within EDP GBS is looking to recruit a Finance & Accounting Specialist that can also collaborate as a transformation and automation agent.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Record and analyze corporate financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS and USGAAP).
  • Record and reconcile accruals and deferrals.
  • Assist with accounting for projects in development (projects accounting).
  • Record fixed assets and depreciation of EDP and EDPR Corporate.
  • Support procurement operations process (suppliers master data) and follow up on suppliers' registrations/open items.
  • Prepare reconciliations to properly support account balances and manage/resolve open items.
  • Perform analyses of financial statement variances.
  • Prepare reports on accounting data.
  • Maintain local chart of accounts and other relevant data in SAP.
  • Follow up on intra-group transactions and investigate/resolve differences.
  • Collaborate with the consolidation team, providing information and explanations.
  • Assist internal and external audits.
  • Participate in accounting or system-related projects as required.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

 

What you will do as a transformation and process agent:

  • Collaborate to identify opportunities for automation, simplification and digital enablement.
  • Translate business needs into scalable and sustainable digital solutions.
  • Support the delivery of digitalization & transformation initiatives across R2R processes, including Accounting, Consolidation, Tax, Fixed Assets and Intercompany.
  • Contribute to the development of models, dashboards, reporting capabilities and data-driven decision-making tools.
  • Promote best practices and support the adoption of innovative ways of working across R2R teams.

Work site: Hybrid Model

Working hours: From 11am to 8pm (Monday to Friday)

 

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, R2R-Record to Report (public accounting experience and or CPA/Chartered Accountant Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS required (US GAAP knowledge highly valued).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Power Query) will be a plus.
  • Experience using SAP financial modules (SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with technologies such as Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA, Python or similar solutions is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Winshuttle will be a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and ability to propose solutions and process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid level of spoken and written English.
