What you will do
Role Overview:
The PMO Lead Expert will report to and support the Directors of Project Management to deliver solar, wind, and BESS projects on schedule and under budget. The lead expert will focus on identifying and managing risks associated with project schedules and budgets, lead efforts to track and reforecast project budgets and provide updates on overall project economics and provide technical support through late-stage development and construction.
Main responsibilities:
- Key senior project leader overseeing day to day efforts of diverse project teams with a focus on identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risk
- Implement and improve project management tools that directly impact and drive business decisions related to the project schedule and budget.
- Responsible for the overall creation, tracking, updating, and reporting of project schedules and progress.
- Track and coordinate with relevant internal support teams and project analysts to complete monthly project budget reforecasts and update project economics.
- Responsible for weekly maintenance and reporting on project progress reports.
- Assist technical team members with evaluating change order claims and proposing a path forward with regard to timely responses and settlement
- Key leader of the project due diligence process for project financing including technical support as well as tracking and closing open items from investors and independent engineer.
- Tracking project lessons learned and compiling and presenting these to internal stakeholders.
- Support CAPEX estimates for priority projects

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry
- Experience leading late-stage development of energy projects including permitting, land and interconnection and supporting project team efforts through construction
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
