What You Will Be Doing:
The Material and Services Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing and purchasing initiatives for utility-scale capital equipment, construction, and engineering services in support of EDPR NA's project portfolio. This role establishes procurement strategies, drives competitive sourcing and supplier negotiations, oversees contract development and supplier performance, and continuously enhances procurement processes, tools, and governance to optimize cost, quality, risk, and supplier value across the organization.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for major capital equipment, construction, engineering, and engineering services supporting EDPR NA projects.
- Lead competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract execution to deliver the best overall value.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery and cost.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, processes, tools, and contract templates to drive consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support project execution through effective procurement planning and commercial guidance.
- Mentor and develop procurement team members and provide leadership to Procurement Analysts and Associates.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 7 + years of experience in contract management, procurement, and negotiations
- Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction, engineering, and operations services and of negotiation techniques
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (Preferred)

- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
