What you will do

Role Overview:

The Compensation Lead is a key resource in the design and administration of the company's North American broad-based and variable pay programs. Applying strong technical knowledge of regulatory and administrative processes with a creative approach in employee recognition and rewards, the Compensation Lead is a key contributor in all activities required to meet administer the programs of EDPR.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the HR Director on a variety of projects, including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs. 
  • Leads the administration of base pay and variable pay programs, including annual salary review and bonus cycles. 
  • Participates in industry-related salary surveys and performs benchmarking analysis for EDPR roles, to ensure market competitive pay practices. 
  • Coordinates with Corporate Holding HR (CH HR) to administer the processes within Success Factors and conducts the process for employees in North America.   
  • Serves as subject matter expert on all Success Factors processes, including compensation, KPIs, and biennial competency reviews. 
  • Works with HR team and outside vendors to ensure compensation related HRIS resources are maintained and updated. 
  • Works with Payroll team and HR Business Partners to assist/advise in processing the payroll for both US and Canada. 
  • Keeps abreast of compensation practices and payroll processes for the Mexico payroll administered by the team in Mexico City. 
  • Works with Payroll-responsible team to ensure all compensation data is complete and accurate at all times.   
  • Applies critical thinking in advising and implementing process improvements for maintaining and effectively using employee data. 
  • Advises/collaborates with the HR Business Partners on all compensation-related issues for their respective client groups. 
  • Collaborates with the Recruiting team to advise and assist on compensation-related issues for open positions and in negotiations with candidates being recruited for employment with the Company. 
  • Leads the due diligence effort on behalf of HR for potential acquisitions. 
  • Works with HR Director in analyzing and benchmarking HR processes 
  • Assisting senior management in developing planning assumptions for HR and other analytical efforts as required.

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources Management, or a related field   
  • 7+ plus years of HR experience in compensation with significant knowledge and skills in use of HRIM systems 
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred 
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products 
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred 
  • Experience with SAP and UltiPro a plus 

Travel:

Less than 10%

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process  
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail  
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Payfactors, HR/Payroll applications and other tools used in decision support analysis for the HR disciplines 
  • Good time-management skills and ability to be self-motivated 
  • High attention to integrity, ethics, and sensitivity, particularly regarding confidential information 
  • Strong Interpersonal and teamwork skills  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple projects underway concurrently

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment 
  • Speech/Reading:  Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form 
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds  
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form 
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
