What you will do

Role Overview:

The Portfolio Management Associate Director will manage EDPR NA’s commercial, compliance, accounting, and financial obligations to project- evel investors (tax equity investors, lenders, or minority shareholders).

The Portfolio Management Associate Director will play an active role in building and maintaining relationships with existing investors and must be able to provide accurate and timely financial information, as well as analysis and insights to ensure that investors have a clear understanding of the projects' performance and prospects.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop, propose to the Finance EVP and successfully implement EDPR NA’s strategy for communicating with tax equity investors, lenders and project-level minority shareholders.

• Manage and develop the Portfolio Management team members through the individual team needs while promoting a positive and purposeful learning environment

• Oversee the key performance metrics of the generation assets and any material technical or commercial developments in areas such as power purchase agreements, market or regulatory environment, transmission grid, or warranties

• Lead the communication with investors on performance of portfolios, management approvals, and technical or commercial issues

• Work with Asset Management to monitor asset performance and commercial and technical developments

• Determine the impact of asset performance on investors and financial obligations

• Liaise with the legal department for interpretation and understanding of obligations and covenants under financial agreements

• Participate in the renegotiation of existing agreements to address restructuring of deals, new or amended power purchase agreements, tax issues, or other commercial events

• Monitor the fulfillment of requirements and deadlines of the agreements under management

• Create and maintain a scheduled deliverables database for operating reports, budgets, financial statements, and other major events

• Use Salesforce to log, document, and track investor events, correspondence, interactions, and investor information

• Manage financial tracking models by updating monthly actuals, cash distributions, and other changes (i.e. improvements, amendments)

• Perform analyses to provide results to Senior Management

• Assist with calculation of monthly cash distributions (namely with any required adjustments to normal distributions)

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering or related field from accredited university, MBA or Masters of Finance desirable

• 10 years of relevant sector or function experience

• Hands-on knowledge of complex valuation, financial modelling and solid understanding of investment concepts

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Database management and/or VBA coding skills are desirable

• Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

• Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills including financial analysis and business case development

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate and interact with team members at all levels throughout the organization

• Ability to multi-task including project management, customer service, and special project work

• Be able to work independently with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
