MISSION 

 

•    Playing a key role in the M&A strategy for wind, solar and storage projects in the UK.
•    Support EDP Renewables in executing significant growth in the UK market. 
•    Identifying and executing acquisition of wind, solar and BESS projects as well as Joint development opportunities
 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

1.    Identify and evaluate attractive renewables M&A transactions with a focus on growth within onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage in the UK.
2.    Build external relationships across industry peers, investment banks, financial investors and consultants. 
3.    Business development lead for deals, working with internal stakeholders (technical, commercial, legal) to prepare and submit non-binding offers.
4.    Representing EDP Renewables professionally, establishing and maintaining good relationships with developers and brokers. 
5.    Negotiating deal terms, working with internal stakeholder to prepare transaction documents.
 

REQUIRED PROFILE

 

1.    ACADEMIC LEVEL

Educated to Degree level. Ideally qualified in a suitable subject.


2.    REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

5 years+ experience in solar, storage and/ or wind project development from a land management perspective.

 

3.    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

 

•    Strong negotiation skills and experience of concluding transactions
•    Proven commercial experience in renewable energy sector
•    Good client-facing skills and able to communicate complex and technical information and concepts to non-technical third parties.
•    Broad knowledge of investment, valuations and funding of projects
•    Good presentation skills
•    Microsoft Office Package
