GIS INTERNSHIP (part time option / availability)

Main Functions
This GIS internship post will work as part of the company’s geospatial team on projects and other ad-hoc tasks as required including EDPR UK’s onshore wind, solar and BESS development portfolio:
- Support of origination and site selection process and related activities
- Assist with geographic data analysis and mapping, honing your skills in spatial information technologies.
- Collect, process, and maintain geospatial datasets from various sources.
- Close collaboration with Land associates in the identification of greenfield development land
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our geospatial workflows and platform capabilities.
- Create maps, charts, and other visualisations to effectively communicate geospatial information to internal teams.
Qualification
- Pursuing a degree in geospatial sciences, geography, or a related field, showcasing your passion for spatial data.
- Proficiency in GIS software like ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools, demonstrating your technical skills.
- Strong analytical and thinking abilities, crucial for data interpretation and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaborating with diverse project teams.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, a key trait for staying current in this dynamic field.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach, ensuring data accuracy and precision in mapping tasks.
- Self-motivated, with a desire to make a meaningful impact in the geospatial industry through your internship.
Languages
- Fluent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Workday
- Negotiable (depending on availability of interns). From a minimum of 5 hours / 2 days per week; ideally 25 hours per week (5 days per week)
Duration
- Ideally 1-year/ minimum 6-month fixed internship
