Asset Operations & Maintenance Director

What you will do:
Plan, coordinate and ensure the operation and maintenance of WS&S assets in Portugal, managing teams, optimizing internal and external resources, and ensuring asset availability, operational efficiency, safety, compliance and alignment with the Company's strategy.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Management Area - Lead, coordinate and develop the O&M team in Portugal, setting objectives, responsibilities and performance indicators, promoting motivation, accountability and collaboration, and ensuring the achievement of the area's operational, safety, financial and strategic objectives.
2. Analysis of Asset Performance - Monitor and analyze the operational performance of WS&S assets in Portugal, identifying deviations, trends, losses and improvement opportunities to optimize availability, production, reliability and efficiency.
3. Operation and Maintenance Strategy - Define, implement and monitor O&M strategies, policies and standards for WS&S assets in Portugal, ensuring technical excellence, cost optimization, risk mitigation and alignment with corporate guidelines.
4. Asset Profitability and Operational Efficiency - Identify, prioritize and implement initiatives to maximize the profitability, availability and operational efficiency of WS&S assets, ensuring an optimized balance between performance, risk and lifecycle cost.
5. New Projects and Asset Integration - Support the technical assessment, commissioning, handover and operational integration of new wind, solar and hybrid assets, ensuring that O&M requirements, maintainability, safety and lifecycle cost considerations are incorporated from early project stages.
6. Company Policy, H&S and Legal Compliance - Promote, implement and monitor company policies, health and safety standards, environmental requirements, quality procedures and legal obligations, ensuring compliance across all WS&S assets and activities under the position's responsibility.
7. EDP Interest Representation - Represent EDP before public and private organizations and institutions in matters related to O&M and WS&S asset operations, safeguarding the Company's interests and ensuring consistent external positioning.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination - Ensure effective coordination with Asset Management, Engineering, Procurement, H&S, Regulatory, Finance and other corporate and local teams, facilitating decision-making, operational alignment and implementation of interdependent activities.

What are we looking for
- Degree in Engineering
- Over 5 years of experience in operations, maintenance or technical management of energy or industrial assets.
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing O&M activities in power generation assets.
- Wind and solar technologies, O&M strategy, maintenance planning, asset performance monitoring, cost-benefit and lifecycle cost analysis, investment profitability assessment, energy market and regulatory framework, H&S and environmental requirements, and monitoring of operational parameters.
- Portuguese and English - Spanish as a plus
