This role will be handling operational compliance and reporting with ad-hoc advisory. Geographic focus of this role is on all Sunseap geographies (except Vietnam and China).

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist Senior Regional Tax Manager in the tax compliance of Sunseap Group within Sunseap geographies (except Vietnam and China). This includes review, managing and monitoring of all direct and indirect taxes (CIT, GST, WHT, etc.).
  • Monitor and control tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting activities within EDPR Sunseap geographies.
  • Proactively build up/improve internal controls and processes to support and improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with EDPR Tax Team and other functional groups to define and implement transfer pricing strategies, tax compliance and tax reporting controls
  • Ensure compliance with Sunseap Group's Transfer Pricing policies; work collaboratively with business areas in the reinforcement of the Transfer Pricing policies.
  • Manage the management fee agreements, supporting documentations and computations.
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to Tax authorities’ queries and any audits
  • Work collaboratively with business areas as well as other corporate functions, such as provide tax technical support and advisory. 
  • Evaluation of issues and advising on any tax-related issues (e.g., projects, suppliers and customers tax queries, reporting, compliance, tax planning, tax risk management).
  • Provide support to Group-wide initiatives aiming to achieve a sustainable effective tax rate (at a consolidated and country level).
  • Follow legislative changes and monitor their respective impact in the Group operations
  • Review internal and external documents which contain any tax or potentially tax-relevant data or content.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting-related academics (specialization in taxation is a plus)
  • At least 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably with 2 to 3 years of Big 4 experience and high-growth, MNC or listed companies
  • Good knowledge with APAC and SG tax
  • Hands on, driven and collaborative, and high work ownership
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines for multiple concurrent projects across APAC
  • Self-starter, strong multi-tasking, and project management capabilities
  • Good team management skills
  • Able to translate technical tax issues into practical business solutions
  • Excellent communicator who can influence, engage, and build strong relationships & trust at all levels
