Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Substations & Protection Systems

The EMC High Voltage – Digital Systems and Communications South department at E-redes is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Substations & Protection Systems.
What you will do:
- Integration into the network assistance on-call availability roster;
- Availability for travel assignments, which may extend over several days;
- Ensuring the monitoring of investment projects and other works, as well as on-site compliance control and supervision of all applicable Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations;
- Execution of activities related to the implementation of systematic preventive maintenance plans for Protection, Command and Control Systems assets in HV/MV Substations, HV and MV Switching Stations, Radio Repeater Stations and customer installations (PRE, UPP, etc.);
- Investigation and resolution of faults in HV/MV Substations, HV and MV Switching Stations and Repeater Stations, as well as asset rehabilitation;
- Monitoring and supervision of interventions carried out by external service providers (PSEs), including the proposal and implementation of improvement actions in technical installations and processes;
- Preparation of specific technical studies and analyses with impact on Digital Systems and Telecommunications assets;
- Monitoring the commissioning of distributed generation connections to E REDES HV substations and HV switching stations.

What are we looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrotechnical Engineering;
- Availability to integrate into the On-call Availability Schedule (work outside normal hours),
- Driving license and availability to travel throughout mainland Portugal, mainly in the Greater Lisbon area and the entire Southern region of the country;
- Full proficiency in Portuguese; knowledge of English is considered an advantage (preferred).
- Experience in the use of different IT applications (Microsoft Office) and other tools specific to the technical area.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
