EDP Produção, a company within the EDP Group, aims to strengthen its Water Asset Optimization and Management Department, which is tasked with planning and managing activities related to the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the hydroelectric power generation system, maximizing value creation while strictly adhering to legal obligations, operational rules, and corporate sustainability principles, ensuring the safety of people and facilities. To support us in this role, we are looking to hire for the Water Maintenance Management Area - Equipment Area.

 

Job Description:

  • Develop studies for the planning and execution strategy of works and supplies related to the maintenance and optimization of Water Assets.
  • Manage the contracting process, including preparing tender documents, proposal analysis, and preparation of adjudication reports.
  • Control planning, costs, work quality, and safety requirements in the execution of activities.
  • Coordinate interfaces among various stakeholders involved in project implementation, including the owner of the project (Production Centers), designers, and contractors/suppliers.
  • Manage contracts with executing entities, particularly in terms of meeting deadlines and contractual obligations, and analyze changes to contracted conditions.
  • Regularly monitor work progress and oversee supervision.
  • Verify and communicate pending issues and deficiencies in works to contractors/suppliers and supervise their resolution.
  • Supervise, monitor, and/or conduct commissioning tests for equipment and systems.
  • Conduct acceptance inspections of works, promote provisional acceptance, and manage warranty-related claims.
  • Conduct inspections for the purpose of final acceptance of works.

What kind of profiles are we looking for?

  • Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Electrical Power Systems.
  • 8 to 15 years of professional experience in electrotechnical projects, project management, or maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and coordination is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in studies, projects, or implementation of works in hydroelectric power plants are valued.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and its main applications, especially Microsoft Project and SAP (a plus).
  • Driver's license and availability for frequent travel to various Water Production Centers within the country.
  • Collaborative and networking skills, ability to handle pressure, agility, curiosity, self-development, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Registration with the Order of Engineers is valued.
