What you will do:
As a Purchasing O&M specialist at EDP, you will be responsible for,
General responsibilities:
- Drive and support the RGA Procurement Manager throughout the full procurement/contracting cycle-from defining the scope to issuing the Purchase Order-ensuring alignment with EDP Group policies and achieving the favourable conditions in cost, warranties, deadlines and quality, while contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at long‑term partnerships with OEMs and service companies.
- Manage O&M services procurement for Facilities (Wind Turbines, PV Plants, Substations, storage, etc.), delivering significant cost savings through negotiation and cost‑reduction projects.
- Lead RFI/RFP processes by preparing commercial specifications, centralizing stakeholder communication, conducting negotiations and assessments, managing contract closure, reporting, and securing internal approvals.
- Perform commercial analysis supporting technical teams in offer assessments, ensuring proposal homogeneity, challenging technical evaluations, optimizing scope based on market input, reviewing supplier alternatives to improve scope and pricing, ensuring competitive processes, and overseeing purchase order preparation.
- Execute Supplier Management and Supplier Development to secure and enhance top-performing suppliers and ensure an optimal supply chain.
- Conduct Contract Management by negotiating the most favourable terms and coordinating with all relevant departments (development, legal, risk, operations, construction, etc.)
- Maintain strong commercial relationships with suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership, supporting continuous improvement with cost and performance benchmarks.
- Monitor market conditions to ensure terms reflect current market standards (workshops/benchmarking), identify new suppliers to broaden competition, and activate existing suppliers to reduce prices against historical data and recent offers.

What are we looking for:
1. Academic Skills:
- University Degree and Graduate Degree (includes Master or other graduate level degrees) - degree in Engineering or similar field (aeronautical, energy, industrial, mining, electrical, mechanical, or similar).
2. Professional Experience:
- Experience level: Between 1 and 3 or 4 years in procurement, including contract negotiation.
- Experience in renewable industry is a plus.
3. Specific Knowledge:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, etc.).
4. Languages:
- Fluent Spanish and English Level (Oral and Writing) is mandatory. Other are a plus.
