OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

MISSION

The Operations Engineer provides Centralized Support to operating assets and the organization to standardize best practice in O&M activities and processes, collect and develop procedures to apply as EDPR brand for Site Managers, O&M Responsible,  and Contractors, in order to generalize a common way to work uniform and optimized in EDPR asset fleet, and guarantee EDPR policy asset exploitation, quality requirements, and  safety rules in force in accordance with Operations Director of Department.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• DEFINITION, IMPLEMENTATION AND COORDINATION OF BOQs MODEL – Carry out the standardization of the Operation and Maintenance activities using a new maintenance model based on Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and evaluate and support if proceed implementation of this new model/strategy based on BOQs.

• CMMS SUPPORT AND COORDINATION – Participate in CMMS (SAP PM and MSD) evolutions, specifications, processes and coordination to ensure a proper implementation of CMMS, of future upgrades in a homogeneous and consistent way to all geographies.

Coordinate specific training sessions on site with the local teams and discuss locally BOQs results and actions.

• IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES AND SUPPORT PROPER MAINTENANCE MODELS – Support operational improvement initiatives implementation under the scope of O&M and Guidelines resulting from actions and commitments resulting from BOQs and maintenance activity analysis.

• RFPs PROCESS AND SERVICES AGREEMENTS – Coordinate tender process for hiring Operation and Maintenance prototype services and engineering support. Give support on the preparation and negotiation of services agreements with technology providers, independent service providers, local partners, etc.

• PROCEDURES STANDARIZATION AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS DEVELOPMENT – Develop and apply the technical standards procedures and technical specifications regarding O&M activities in all EDPR geographies, applying the best practices of the industry, in order to guarantee the maximum efficiency in the operation and maintenance of the assets.

• OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE PRACTICES OPTIMIZATION AND HOMOGENEIZATION – Carry out the processes of analysis, optimization and homogenization of all the operation and maintenance practices among all EDPR geographies, in order to guarantee the Best Practices.

• SUPPORT PROPER MAINTENANCE MODELS EXTENSION TO THE ASSETS – Support the local teams for the implementation of autonomous models M3/Self performance, assuring the necessary information, inspections, and capabilities to face new model.

• QUALITY – Ensures together with the quality managers that the operations are carried out with the highest possible quality

• EFFICIENCY – Works to define and implement operational/metric programs to reach the availability goals and consistent improvements in efficiency

• COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE – Understand and support applying policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.

• EDPR INTERESTS REPRESENTATIONS – To represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR.

REQUIRED PROFILE

1. ACADEMIC LEVEL

• Bachelor’s degree of Engineering.

2. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• +3 years of overall experience in the energy sector.

3. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

• Expert knowledge of O&M services, leading working teams and developing working instructions.
• Expert knowledge of maintenance techniques, maintenance strategies, maintenance planification, and technical office in energy industry maintenance.
• Knowledge of wind turbines technology and wind energy.
• Knowledge of Solar PV plants technology and solar energy.
• Knowledge of, and ability to apply pertinent industry standards and codes.

4. LANGUAGES

• English language proficiency.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Other languages ​​are valued.

5. SKILLS / COMPETENCES

• Proficiency with MS-Office, SAP and databases development and management.
• Ability to perform Cost models, economical models and budget planification
• Ability to deal with multinational teams in challenging environments and geographies.
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a collaborative working environment.
• Ability to perform physical requirements at project locations to inspect equipment or collect information.
• Ability to perform and review performance calculations for operations like availability, reliability, etc.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, drawings and documents relating to O&M instructions and engineering mainly in Wind Turbines and PV plants.
• Ability and willingness to provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.
• Willingness and ability to international travel as needed (aprox. 30% of business time).
• European B-class Driving License.
