The Strategic Planning and Operations Manager will be responsible for o drive efficient and effective logistics strategies, optimize supply chain operations, and ensure seamless distribution processes, enhancing overall business performance and customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for a global, centralized team with a strategic vision of logistics that essentially deals with policies, procedures, and systems. Ensures the optimized delivery of the logistics function with lower stock levels for the required service levels, at the lowest possible operational cost. It is also responsible for the global reporting of the Logistics Function in the EDP group, including both financial reporting and SCIRF reporting. It has current functions and broader strategic planning functions. This team should be included in the GBS HUB, with some members in the regional spokes

 

What you will do:

Main responsibilities for the Strategic Planning and Operations Team:

• Local Tasks: Configures the MRP, incorporating BU's needs, lead-time characteristics, stock levels, and establishes net needs and the consequent purchasing plan;

• Logistics Operations Strategic Responsabilities:

 -Definition of Policies, Processes, and Systems;

 -Ensures global reporting on logistics activity, costs, SCIRF, Sustainability, and others;

 -Defines global criteria for contracting logistics and transport management operators;

• Strategic Planning Responsabilities:

-Establishes stock parameters based on, BU business plans, BU workplan, BU commercial forecast, and the service levels required by the BU's. Sets both SLA and RSLA with BU's;

o Drives innovation and promotes the application of specific algorithms within the MRP according to the nature of each supply need.

What are we looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree, master's in supply chain management preferred.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management;

•Experience in strategic logistics planning and operations management;

•Experience in managing large-scale logistics projects and initiatives;

•Proficiency in logistics software, specifically SAP;

•Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.

•Experience with data analysis and performance metrics.

•A proactive attitude and updated with technological and methodological trends in the sector, with the ability to apply these insights to drive organizational growth.

•Excellent leadership and team management abilities;

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

•Effective communication and negotiation skills;

•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;

•Willingness to travel as needed;

•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
