The Corporate Communication Unit is responsible for defining and delivering a global and integrated communication strategy that reinforces the Group's culture, strengthens employee engagement and ensures a solid, credible and consistent relationship with the media-maximising positive brand impact while mitigating reputational risks.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and produce content for media related channels, including press releases, statements, Q&A documents and opinion pieces.
  • Identify editorial opportunities and proactively propose story angles that enhance EDP's visibility and positioning in national and international media.
  • Design, implement and monitor communication plans in close collaboration with business units.
  • Define and execute both preventive and reactive crisis management plans.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with journalists and media outlets, ensuring a strategic and consistent approach.
  • Prepare and support company spokespersons for media interactions (interviews, briefings, press conferences).
  • Plan and organize media-related events, such as press conferences, media briefings and press visits.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on media coverage, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with global internal and external communication teams to ensure message alignment.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, positive and high-performing team environment.

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, International Relations or Business Administration.
  • Work experience in communication or media content creation and between 2 to 4 years of proven experience in journalism or media relations.
  • Strong storytelling skills, strategic thinking and results-oriented mindset.
  • Creativity, proactivity and the ability to bring forward new ideas and approaches.
  • Project management and teamwork skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory (minimum C1 level) and fluency in any other languages - Spanish is a plus.
