We are looking for a forward-thinking junior professional with strong analytical and system modelling skills to join our team as an Energy Markets Settlement Analyst.

 

This role is central to the validation and management of settlement activities across organized electricity markets, supporting reporting, regulatory monitoring, IT requirements, and data integrity. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of settlement processes while supporting the evolution of energy market activities and systems.

 

What you will do:

  • Perform settlement validation for organized electricity markets, mainly OMIE and Ancillary Services (REN, REE), as well as other bilateral activities.
  • Maintain and implement the Energy Markets reporting line, including both periodic and special-purpose reports.
  • Support transversal settlement activities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impacts on MIBEL.
  • Ensure IT team requirements are addressed, acting as an Agile Analyst and key user.
  • Evaluate and help maintain the integrity of information stored in GEM databases, identifying data gaps and information inconsistencies.

What we are looking for:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • No more than 2 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Experience with Excel and Power BI reporting tools is valued.
  • Curiosity, agility, a proactive attitude, and a high level of self-initiative, together with an openness to change.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing and demanding environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Organized, analytical, and problem-solving-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy.
  • Knowledge of the electricity market is considered a plus.
  • SQL and other programming skills are valued.
  • Fluency in English and basic knowledge of Spanish.
