Energy Data Analyst

We are looking for a highly analytical, data-driven professional to join our Energy Data Management team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data, investigating complex scenarios, identifying patterns and anomalies, and transforming data into actionable insights. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of energy data, supporting system developments, improving operational processes, and driving data-based decision-making across the organization. Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python or other data analytics tools will be highly valued 

Energy Data Management team is looking for an Energy Data Analyst.

What you will do:

• Specify business requirements and perform acceptance testing for developments in energy data management systems.
• Execute activities related to the validation, processing, and provisioning of energy data.
• Monitor data validation and provisioning processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules.
• Analyze exceptions, investigate root causes, and identify abnormal patterns in energy data.
• Categorize and assess data quality issues, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop analytical reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to support operational monitoring and decision-making.
• Leverage data analysis tools to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, procedures, and controls.
• Define quality standards and monitor the performance and output of operational teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by using data and operational insights to optimize processes and system performance.

What are we looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field,
• Up to 2 years of professional experience,
• Mandatory knowledge of the energy and/or electricity sector,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions,
• Experience working with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms,
• Ability to transform data into actionable insights that support business and operational decisions,
• Strong critical thinking skills and a structured approach to problem-solving,
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English (mandatory),
• Experience with Agile methodologies is considered an advantage,
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy,
• Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement,
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure,
• Proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team spirit
