Geração's Manutenção Térmica – Sistemas e Automação area, is looking to hire an Electrical and Automation Engineer


Main responsibilities:

  • Industrial Electrical, Automation and Control System (IEACS) assets Life-Cycle Management;
  • Performing maintenance on thermal power plants electrical systems and equipments, supporting equipment failure diagnosis and decision-making, based on optimizing the life cycle cost (LCC) of the equipment;
  • Preparation, contracting, and supervision of maintenance activities in IEACS;
  • Condition monitoring, remaining life assessment, RCM and RBM processes, aiming to optimize assets LCC, as well as specialized support in the maintenance of other equipment;
  • Performing specialized diagnostic tests and commissioning of systems/equipment;
  • Participate in equipment or services procurement processes and studies/projects;
  • Supervise compliance with established contracts, with a special focus on the appropriate balance between safety, environment, quality, schedule, and cost.

What are we looking for:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent - preferably w/ specialization in Energy or Control;
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices, applied to industrial equipment;
  • Knowledge and experience in industrial electrical and control systems;
  • Knowledge of electric power generation systems from thermal power plants is valued, particularly electrical auxiliaries (medium and low voltage switchboards, circuit breakers and disconnectors, transformers) and electric motors;
  • Knowledge and experience in condition assessment and its application to complex decision-making processes are valued;
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools is mandatory. Fluent in Portuguese and English in oral and written expression, and basic Spanish;
  • Driver's license;
  • Availability for frequent travel in Portugal and in all geographies of the Group, including Portugal, Spain, and Brazil;
  • Other valued attributes include agility in decision-making, curiosity, self-development skills, good interpersonal relationships, and demonstrated results in contexts with strict compliance with demanding requirements of safety, environment, quality, cost, and schedule.
