What you will do:

 

  • Analyzing and surveying EDP's market position and exposure in Europe and the United States.
  • Modelling and reporting on the main risk factors for EDP's activity- Developing market price forecasting models
  • Development of new analytical models for medium/long-term portfolio optimization
  • Monitoring the main market movements and developing short-term risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring the financial position and respective reporting
  • Automating data ingestion and analysis.

What are we looking for:

 

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Information Management or similar;
  • Previous experience (maximum 5/6 years) as a Risk Analyst, Data Scientist, or other analytical roles;
  • Preferably with experience in financial markets, especially energy
  • Solid quantitative knowledge, preferably in the field of statistics and/or data science
  • Knowledge of programming languages (python, R or matlab)
  • Good ability to learn and adapt to a constantly changing business
  • Dynamism and autonomy, with the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel outside of Europe.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to its relevance to the business.
