This role supports the daily operations, accounts and finance operations to EDPR Sunseap’s activities in China. In addition, this role is required to review existing processes and propose solutions for effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support and report to the headquarter accounting and finance team on all accounting/ finance/audit/tax matters, including coordination with tax/accounting advisors and partners to prepare statements and reports to comply to Chinese Accounting Standard.
- Develop and maintain the policies that govern the Company's reporting process and ensures compliance with generally accepted reporting standards/ tax regulation.
- Local interface for finance matters such as bank accounts administration, communication with third party service provider on monthly tax reporting and prepare/update the monthly and quarterly budget on regular basis.
- Coordinate with headquarter team to execute banking transaction/relevant matters.
- Draft meeting minutes, resolutions, other corporate documents.
- Respond to internal stakeholders' requests or events as they occur.
- Plan and implement new IT systems projects such as SAP, system enhancements, etc
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects, including reviewing and prioritising continuous improvement suggestions from within the team as well as across business units.
- Align, implement and/or redesign group policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring relevant internal control procedures are adhered to
- Support, communicate with project engineers about projects progress, settlement and other issues
- Manage/participate in corporate initiatives and special projects as may be assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor of Finance or Accountancy or equivalent
- At least 10 years experience
- Experience with process improvement is an added advantage.
- Excellent learning attitude with the ability to work independently in a new set-up environment
- Strong communication skills
