What you will do:

To support and ensure the successful end-to-end integration and commissioning of EDPR's renewable energy assets, by collaborating with various stakeholders, monitoring project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, to assist with the implementation of lessons learned from previous projects to continuously improve the commissioning and handover processes. Overall, his mission is to ensure the seamless operation and performance of EDPR's renewable energy assets at all stages of the integration process, ensuring that the delivery of each service/product is performed in a timely manner according to EDPR standards

 

1. End2End Process:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project follow-up tool with the main activities properly updated.
  2. Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  3. Monitor project progress and identify potential issues that could impact the integration process as defined.
  4. Manage project documentation and process handover to Asset Operations and Site Operations teams.

 

2. SCADA/PPC Engineering (Wind/Solar/BESS):

  1. Collaborate with the teams involved to ensure that control systems meet overall technical requirements of the project.
  2. Provide technical guidance and support to the SCADA/PPC engineering team.
  3. Ensure compliance with supervision, control, environmental requirements, grid compliance, and other relevant criteria.
  4. Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
  5. Troubleshoot technical issues and identify solutions.
  6. Participate in FAT.

3. Commissioning (wind/solar/BESS):

  1. Develop commissioning plans.
  2. Accountable for pre-commissioning checks.
  3. Perform commissioning tests.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  5. Verify compliance with regulations.
  6. Coordinate with stakeholders.
  7. Document commissioning activities.
  8. Define guidelines, identify external providers, and implement extended external support on commissioning activities.
  9. Coordinate external support to assure proper alignment with EDPR standards and needs in terms of commissioning and End2End follow-up.

 

 

 

4. Hand-over & Lessons Learned:

    1. Define and implement the hand-over process from construction to operation and Dispatch site operation team, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and agreed processes.
    2. Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained prior to handover.
    3. Coordinate with the construction and operation teams to ensure a smooth transition.
    4. Lead post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and incorporate lessons learned into future projects.
    5. Document best practices and lessons learned and share them across the organization.
    6. Work with the engineering and construction teams to address any issues or concerns that arise during the handover process.
    7. Ensure that all commissioning and handover processes comply with applicable regulations and standards (internal and external).
    8. Support EDPR internal department on the work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all necessary permits and approvals.
    9. Identify and manage any risks associated with non-compliance, promoting the necessary changes in processes to mitigate the risks.
    10. Maintain accurate documentation of the project and handover processes and procedures.
    11. Ensure that all relevant stakeholders have access to up-to-date documentation.

What are we looking for

  • Graduation in Engineering or Integrated master's in electrical engineering, preferably with major area in Energy or Automation.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in coordinating OT projects, support, maintenance and systems management in the energy area.
  • Knowledge of energy production systems, namely electrical, is valued.
  • Strong team management, focused on people empowerment and client satisfaction.
  • Solid communication skills; capability to establish discussions in different cultural and complex environments.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Adapting to changing business requirements.
  • Capability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Working experience in electrical or/and control systems. Renewable Energy experience will be valued.
  • Experience in maintenance and commissioning of SCADA applications of generation plants and/or Control Centers.
  • Solid Experience with industrial protocols such as IEC-60870_5_101, IEC-60870_5_104, Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3.0, IEC-60870-6/TASE.2, OPC-UA/DA/XML.
  • Solid Experience with networking architecture designs (routing, firewall settings, VLAN, NAT) and troubleshooting using protocol analyzers.
  • Experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
