Summary

The role entails ensuring the financial and technical success of projects, adhering to the highest ethical and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The candidate will actively participate in the engineering design phases of Wind and PV Plants, ensuring optimized designs and technical efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Refine policies, frameworks, and procedures for engineering design.
• Coordinate with Business Development and M&A teams for self development opportunities.
• Oversee the development of engineering designs at various stages, ensuring compliance with EDPR technical standards.
• Oversee project scheduling and monitoring to ensure timely and budgeted completion. Ensure full coordination with PMO team.
• Provide specialized technical support during tender processes (RFPs) and the construction stage.
• Coordinate key studies for integration in engineering projects.
• Establish relationships with suppliers and manage bid/award processes for services.
• Ensure application of common standards in projects and adapt them to local regulations.
• Represent EDPR in matters relating to its jurisdiction.

Requirements:

• Academic Level: Degree in Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years in design projects for wind farms, PV Plants, substations, and high voltage lines
• Experience in managing engineering projects (inside or not EPC contracts)
• Experience in coordinating with engineering teams and external companies
• Technical support experience for energy-related projects
• Renewable energy or Power utility experience preferred

Specific knowledge:

• Applicable practices and regulations
• Substation Commissioning and tests
• Knowledge of photovoltaic system design
• Energy modelling and standard electrical calculations
• GIS/BIM knowledge
• Skills/ competencies: Strong communication, project management, problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Language: Proficient in English and Korean
