GENERAL DESCRIPTION

                                                                                                       

Lead a team for coordination of activities of supply, installation and maintenance of meteorological stations in order to obtain meteorological data for the evaluation of the resource that allows the development of the strategic plan of the projects in terms of safety, quality, costs and time.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • INSTALLATION, COMMISSIONING, DISMANTLING AND MAINTENANCE: Coordinate internal working team to provide the following services:
    • Support to Energy Assessment, Business Units and local E&C Local in the definition of position of new towers as well as support in the preliminary feasibility study of installation through field stakeouts.
    • Technical definition of the installation, by means of the evaluation of the characteristics of the project and the applicable legal prescriptions.
    • Supervision of the correct execution of the installation and process monitoring.
    • For permanent towers, management of the process of commissioning and transfer to O&M.
    • For development towers, management of the process of maintenance.
    • Ensure internal documentation approval through corporate systems.
    • Ensure strict compliance with H&S standards.
    • Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of detailed cross-projects working-load of the resources, planning, including schedules, risks and budget.
    • Develop effective relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
    • Effectively communicate relevant information to superiors.

 

  • EXTERNAL SERVICES MANAGEMENT:  
    • Supports the identification and selection of companies to provide met mast services.
    • Supervise the works carried out by services companies and assess results based on the guidelines to ensure compliance of standards of quality and safety.
    • Manage contracts and external contractors.

 

  • PROVIDERS ECONOMICAL CONTROL:
  • Ensure economic control according information provided by working-team.
  • Monitoring and control according to internal quality parameters, ensuring compliance with commitments, prices and deadlines.
  • Collaboration in the contracting of new services, in particular in the technical and economic evaluation of the contractors/suppliers and homologation if applicable.
  • Support in the definition and control of internal budgets for the correct management of the area.
  • Ensure correct payment of invoices to suppliers.

 

  • EFFICIENCY AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas. Knowledge of Lidar/Sodar is a plus.

 

  • MET MAST STANDARDS: Coordinates with the Corporate Engineering team to review of met mast system Design Guides and standard equipment specification. Notions of metallic structural calculation.

 

  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Direction and leadership of the people in charge, set goals, objectives and responsibilities, define indicators of measurement and evaluation of results, stimulate and motivate people. 

 

  • COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.

 

  • EDPR INTERESTS REPRESENTATIONS: Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR.

 

REQUIRED PROFILE

ACADEMIC SKILLS:

  • Degree in in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Valuable Master's Degree in Renewable Energy or "MBA”.

 

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating renewables (wind/solar) projects during construction phase.
  • Experience in meteorological towers, in particular the phases of installation, start-up and maintenance is a plus.
  • Experience in negotiation of technical and economic conditions of execution with suppliers and installers in European Union & UK.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Strong experience acting as internal supplier, leading the interaction with different requesting areas.
  • Ability to produce and deliver executive presentations, produce project status reports, and communicate deliverable to all stakeholders and senior management.

 

LANGUAGES

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently (B2).
  • Spanish, Portuguese, French or Italian will be a plus.
