What you will do

Role Overview:

The Hydrogen Regulatory and Government Affairs Associate supports the analysis of various policy, regulatory and legislative issues affecting the renewable hydrogen industry in North America. Work under the guidance of the Head of the Department and in close collaboration with other H2BU members.  

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the definition of external positioning on policy and regulatory affairs  
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of the impact of policy and regulatory updates  
  • Support the preparation of responses to public consultations  
  • Support the engagement efforts related with the participation in external organizations and initiatives (industry groups, associations, etc.)  
  • Search for funding opportunities  
  • Support the application to public calls and funding opportunities

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • University Degree, preferable in engineering, economics, management, or political science 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the energy sector 
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred 
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred 

Travel:

Availability for traveling

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to frequently perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching while on project sites; ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment 
  • Speech/Reading:  Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form 
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds  
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form 
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
